The seminar took place at the Tulip Inn Hotel, Van Gogh Hall, in Bucharest. 40 representatives from 24 translation agencies took part.

The following are some of the items that were on the agenda:

„Professional Improvement of the Translators” - the presentation of a course that will be organized by ABTR in partnership with the Centre for Professional Training in Culture (CPPC), addressed to both the employees of the translation agencies, and the freelance translators. (Matei Dumitrescu, General Manager, GraalSoft, and Constantin Popoiu, Deputy Manager, the Centre for Professional Training in Culture)
„Common Terminology” - debate upon the opportunity of a pilot project applied in the IT terminology, which would imply the gathering of the glossaries in the field into a unitary terminological base, with free access (Andrei Nădejde, General Manager, Smart Soft)
„Casa de Traduceri – 7 years of activity” - an overview of Casa de Traduceri, of the company’s objectives and of CDT Smart, the new application for project management (Oana Dorobanţu, Translation Manager and Quality Responsible, Casa de Traduceri)
„Quality translations. Case study” - applying the ABTR quality standards and the conformity with the European standards. Quality analysis in a comprehensive project (Matei Dumitrescu, General Manager, GraalSoft)
„Marketing Characteristics and Trends for Translation Services” - the market development and dynamics at a European level and the impact upon the Romanian market (Hermann Korte, Managing Partner, CET Central European Translations)
